Meow Day Privacy Policy
Meow Day is made by Norvik Labs ("we", "us"). We built it to keep your data on your device. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not do with information.
The short version
- No account, sign-in, or email address is required.
- No advertising, no analytics, no tracking, and no data sold or shared for marketing.
- Your tasks, notes, cat progress and settings are stored on your device only.
- The only data that leaves your device relates to in-app purchases (see below).
Data stored on your device
Meow Day stores your tasks, categories, notes, stickers, cat progress, rank, settings and preferences locally on your phone. We cannot see this data and do not receive a copy. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
Purchases
Some features may be offered as an optional in-app purchase or subscription. Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see or store your card or payment details.
To unlock purchased features, the app uses RevenueCat, a service that verifies purchases. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID generated by the app, and your purchase and subscription status (such as which product you bought and when). It is not linked to your name or email, and is used only to deliver the features you paid for and to count purchases. RevenueCat's handling of this data is described in its own privacy policy.
Notifications
If you allow them, Meow Day sends reminders and cat messages as local notifications created on your device. They do not pass through any server. The app works fully if you decline notifications, and you can change this at any time in your device settings.
Audio
The Snooze sleep sounds and cat sounds play through your device. The app never uses your microphone.
Backups and sharing
Meow Day can create a backup file of your data and can create share images (such as progress postcards). These are saved or shared only where you choose, using your device's share and file pickers. We do not receive or store them. Keep backups safe: anyone with the file can see its contents.
Permissions
- Notifications: optional, for reminders.
- Audio playback / foreground service (Android): lets sleep sounds keep playing when the screen is off.
The app does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, photos, or microphone.
Children
Meow Day is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Retention and deletion
We hold no personal data on our servers, so there is nothing to delete on our side. To remove local data, delete the app. To request deletion of the anonymous purchase record held by RevenueCat, email support@norviklabs.app and include your anonymous app user ID if you can find it in the app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data. Because we hold essentially none, most requests are satisfied by the controls above. You may contact us at any time to ask.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Meow Day handles data, we will update this page and its effective date before the change ships.
